The most magical and mesmerizing things that can be seen and appreciated in glass is the almost hidden swirls and patterns contained within handmade glass - its character.  

The character of the glass may include any combination of  odd inclusions, air bubbles, seeds, chords and semi-translucent color mixes.  Ironically, the  "character" involved in my work are deemed imperfections in the world of commercial glass production..

The approach used to bring out the character from inside of each piece is to shape it so that it flatters these qualities to create a unique piece of art.

The reason they are unique is the combination of the different glass used, the mixing ratio, stirring, heating and cooling stages can never create the same result more than once.  Each raw master depending on its quality will contain only 2 or 3 large size pieces or 4-5 smaller - all which have elements and character of the original master.

This done by examining a fifty-pound master shape of glass under multiple lighting conditions showing its deeper dimension.  Only then does the true hidden character reveal itself.  The glass is then marked for primary and secondary cuts to bring out the natural character of each piece.  

In finalizing, additional grinding, cutting, polishing and beveling is done to all sides but one - to retain its natural texture. This is done as a reminder that glass is not simply a sterile geometric shape.  This adds a texture that could never be duplicated by human hands while reinforcing its origin.  

A complete set is created so that you may share individual pieces with the special people in your life.  

Each "set" is supplied in an attractive wooden gift box, individually wrapped in velvet pouches, artist signed, dated and numbered.  A certificate is provided stating only these pieces exist from the original master glass (all others are destroyed) making them as unique as the people you choose to share them with.

Prices start at $1200 to ~$2500 per set based on final number and the size of pieces in a set - special color mixes and oversized pieces available and priced on request - delivery time varies for custom requests.
