Thank you for reviewing my photography - actually these came about during my ongoing study of light, refraction, and illuminated textures - nature is a wonderful artist. Almost all of these shots are taken during periods when the sun is behind the horizon when the light begins to bend through the atmosphere (typically lasting only about 5 minutes). I wish I could tell everyone this happens all the time but it doesn't and that is kinda cool (I believe appreciation comes from the rarity).These works deal with the color, hues and gradations of the sky and its effect on the earth. The deliberate use of high contrast, silhouettes and light direction add to dramatic accenting of color found in these scapes and creates an almost surreal view of these naturally lit scenes.
These works are only available in a limited series print in a variety of sizes from single size mat-mounted images (like these) to oversize 20”x36”which make them suitable for color accenting in rooms.
